About Me
I completed my 200hr YTT at the Kripalu Institute in 2013 and have been teaching yoga consistently since. Since I began, I have taught at yoga studios, gyms, community spaces, libraries, in private homes, schools, and workplaces. I truly believe that yoga is for everyone and I am comfortable with large and small classes alike. My students have varied from beginner to longtime practitioners and have ranged in age from babies to nearly 100 years old!
My teaching style focuses on clear instruction, connection, individual alignment, pose safety, pose modifications, intentional movement, and clear and safe transitions from pose to pose. Accessibility and student confidence are important to me, and I aim to make each class appropriate and safe for the exact students who show up so each person can practice with self-assurance.
My general adult classes feature linking breath and movement, nervous system regulation techniques, breath work, finding comfort within discomfort, and building a neutral and respectful relationship with the body.
My children’s classes are designed to introduce children to yoga through yoga poses, breath work, and lots of games and activities. I use storytelling, dance, obstacle courses, and sharing opportunities to build confidence, awareness of the self and others, and to work on fine and gross motor skills.
